  • Hy-Vee vegetable oil, for frying
  • 2 cups Hy-Vee buttermilk complete pancake & waffle mix
  • 1 ⅓ cold water
  • 16 Crav'n vanilla crème double stuffed chocolate sandwich cookies
  • Hy-Vee powdered sugar, for garnish

Preparation

Heat oil in deep-fat fryer or heavy 6-quart saucepan to 350°. Combine pancake mix and water in a medium bowl.

Thread 4 cookies on wooden skewers. Dip sandwich cookies into pancake batter, turning to fully coat.

Fry cookies in batches 1 to 2 minutes on each side. Remove from oil; drain on paper towels; cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.
