- 4 oz Basil Hayden's bourbon whiskey
- 2 oz simple syrup
- 1 oz fresh lemon juice
- 2-inch vanilla bean, plus additional for garnish

Add bourbon, simple syrup, and fresh lemon juice to cocktail shaker. Split vanilla bean. Scrape seeds into cocktail shaker; add bean pod and 1/2 cup ice cubes.
Cover and shake until well combined and chilled. Strain into an 8-oz. ice-filled glass. Garnish with fresh basil and vanilla bean pod.
